Starting the Barcelona vs Sevilla lineup prediction
Felt this crazy itch tonight to predict how Barcelona might line up against Sevilla this weekend. Grabbed my laptop around 11 PM, coffee already cold but hey, motivation kicked in. Opened up like five different browser tabs right away. Checked the club’s official socials first – dead quiet like always with lineup clues. Annoying but typical.
Moved to flipping through those football news sites everybody argues about. Some said Lewandowski is “doubtful,” others swore he trained normally. Total mess. My brain started doing backflips trying to figure out who’s actually injured versus who’s just got a stubbed toe.
Spreadsheet Madness Begins
Dusted off my old Excel file labeled “BARCA LINEUP BS.” Seriously needs renaming. Created a new tab just for Sevilla. Started making columns:
- Definitely Out: Pedri (always), Gavi (heartbreaker), that new guy whose name I can’t spell
- Probably Out: Frenkie (knock in training photos?), Balde (seen limping)
- Fitness Unknown: Lewy (50 different reports)
Filled cells with bright red X’s and angry yellow question marks. Looks like a toddler attacked it with crayons. Started plugging names into a fake lineup based on Xavi’s last boring press conference. He loves saying “tactical flexibility” and then playing Ferran Torres.
Why I started doing this? Honestly? Got roasted last month on Twitter for saying Roberto would start right-back. He did. But we still lost. Might as well embrace being the lineup guessing clown. Cheaper than betting money.
The Final (Probably Wrong) Prediction
After scrolling through fan forums until my eyes bled, checking dodgy lineup prediction bots and refreshing injury update pages every five minutes, slammed my fist on the desk. Done. My “leaked” lineup:
- Ter Stegen (Obviously)
- Cancelo, Araujo, Kounde, Christensen (Barca fans praying)
- Romeu (groan), Gundogan (please be creative), Fermin Lopez
- Raphinha, Lewy (big fat “?”), Ferran Torres (Xavi’s love child)
Spoiler alert: It’ll be wrong. Probably get Araujo’s position backwards or forget they signed a player named Vitor Roque. But hey, threw it together like pizza toppings – spread rumors, last week’s lineup, and pure hope. Posted it online with a shrug emoji.
